Who We Are
Paul Marriner, the owner of Gale's End Press, lives in Mader's Cove on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. A fly fisher for more than forty years, he has angled for a wide variety of fresh and salt water species in a dozen countries around the world. Paul is Associate Editor of The Canadian Fly Fisher magazine and has had hundreds of articles published in North America and abroad. In 1991 he won the Gregory Clark Award for outstanding contributions to the arts of fly fishing. His books include: A Compendium of Canadian Fly Patterns (co-author), Stillwater Fly Fishing: Tools & Tactics, Atlantic Salmon - A Fly Fishing Primer, The Ausable River Journal, The Miramichi River Journal, and Modern Atlantic Salmon Flies. Paul is also a seventeen-time member of the Canadian team participating in the World and Commonwealth Fly Fishing Championships and was the Captain of the Canadian team from 1994 to 1996 and again in 2000.
